MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2

I wandered into the MAC store today with the intention to take a look at the Wonder Woman collection. A lot of the things were cute. The one thing I was into purchasing was the mineralize powders they had but unfortunately they were sold out. bummer. However- I noticed that they also released the other Lady Gaga Viva Glam lipstick and lipgloss. I wasn't so into it by looking at it but then I figured I would just try it on. Well, needless to say I purchased it. It is much like my favorite lipstick of the moment: Creme D'Nude. I wear Creme D'Nude all the time and Viva Glam Gaga 2 is just as good except it has more of a brownish tone to it. It is very creamy and flattering. I think this is my new lipstick of the moment! I also purchased the lipgloss as well.

(excuse the gross lips- they are chapped!)

Best part about my purchase? Every cent from the sale goes to the MAC Aids fund. How great is that?

Two Tone Nails

I painted my nails last night this beautiful color from MAC called "Earthly Harmony". It's like a brownish grey color and I love it! The only downside to it is that it doesn't seem to last long. Usually the color starts to come off at the end of my nails.

So then today on my lunch break I headed over to Ulta and bought some more colors. I bought this great blue color from OPI called "Dating a Royal" and an awesome lilac color as well called "Do you lilac it?".

Torn between wearing my MAC shade and wanting to try the new colors I purchased- I decided to use both.

This is what I did...

I kept "Earthly Harmony" on and also used "Dating a Royal". I think this is fun and different. Not an everyday look but It should last me at least a day or two! I'll upload pics of the lilac color too as soon as I wear it.

Fake Bake

During the winter months my skin gets so white that its gross and you can see my veins. I become a translucent-skinned human. My problem is that I refuse to lay in a tanning booth because I don't want skin cancer/ wrinkles/ gross skin when I'm older. So I decided to share with you what I have been using that makes me have a healthy sun-kissed glow and does not make me look like Snookie.

This St Tropez tanning mousse is good for use all over the body. I primarily just use it on my face (no breakouts!) and will use it every now and then on my arms or legs for special events. The trick to this is to apply it at night and wait until the morning to shower off the excess tan. Ends up looking very natural (after the shower!)
In conjunction with the tanning mousse, I use the MAC mineralize skinfinish in medium dark (The great part about this is that there is no shimmer, so it looks natural). I dust it over my foundation and VOILA! nice looking tan skin.

So here are my steps in getting a tan face:

1. Moisturize, apply mousse. Let it set overnight.
2. Shower. Moisturize
3. Once the moisturizer has been absorbed, apply your regular foundation.
4. Apply MAC skinifinish as you would a bronzer.
5. DONE! Enjoy your tan self!

*The St Tropez I bought through Sephora.com and the skinfinish is sold at MAC stores or at maccosmetics.com

Pink Friday

Nicki Minaj's new album "Pink Friday" comes out today. Are you a fan? I already bought her cd this morning. :)
She has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics and for the next 4 Fridays (starting today) they will be selling a limited edition pink lipstick she created. She used to be a die hard fan of 'Pink Nouveau' but it seems this is her new color.

I've already checked this out online at maccosmetics.com and they sold out for today! Guess I'm going to have to wait until next Friday to purchase.

16 more days...

....until the MAC Venemous Villains make-up collection comes out. I am so excited. My favorite Disney movie of all time was Sleeping Beauty. Therefore I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the make up inspired by "Malificent". Ahhh!!!! Cannot wait!

Fall 2010 Make Up Wish List

Here is all the make up that I cannot wait to get my hands on ASAP!

If I had to choose the number one choice right now it would be the MAC brush. It sells for $32 and is a great foundation brush. I'm thinking of using it with my Make Up For Ever foundation and also my MAC studio fix foundation. MAC brush.... I have my eye on you! lol
